From the racetrack straight to the road: the lightweight valve exhaust system with a titanium rear silencer generates a highly emotive sound redolent of racing sports. It has been specially developed for M models. In visual terms, the four 93 mm carbon tailpipe trims with the M logo create an unmistakable appearance and are sold separately.
– The M Performance silencer system gives the rear of the car a striking and individual appearance.
– The perforated inner pipes represent the ultimate in high tech and sportiness, accentuating the individual characteristics of the BMW M.
– Sounds like performance: The Motor-dynamic button can be used to enable multiple modes to influence the performance of the exhaust system:
•Sport and Sport+ Mode: Extremely emotional sound, very sporty, very loud, maximum performance.
•Efficient Mode: Sporty sound, significantly sportier and more emotional than the standard system, but with residual comfort for uncompromising every day use.
– The optimized exhaust system amplifies the characteristic 6-cylinder twin turbo sound and accentuates the car’s sporty handling.
– The silencer system is made from a high quality material mix. The front pipes are made from lightweight stainless steel, while the rear silencer is made entirely from titanium.– Lightweight: The silencer system is over 30 % (around 8 kg) lighter than the standard component.
– The silencer system was developed using the latest CAD and FEM technology. This ensures a perfect fit and superlative manufacturing quality.
– Simple installation: The silencer system can be installed easily by bolting it into place. No welding is required.
